Radiology

Overview

Radiologists are medical professionals who focus on performing medical imaging (radiology) techniques (exams/tests) such as X-rays, computed tomography (CT), positron emission tomography (PET), magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), nuclear medicine, and ultrasound to diagnose and treat injuries and diseases. A variety of imaging techniques are used by diagnostic radiologists to view the body and analyze or diagnose the patient’s condition. These procedures offer less danger, discomfort, and recovery time than traditional surgery and are used to treat diseases like heart disease, stroke, cancer, and uterine fibroid.
